Visitor Information

Before visiting an Orange Technical College campus, review the check-in and identification requirements, parking information, and campus-access information below. Campus procedures help protect students, employees, and visitors.

Before You Visit

Visitors should be prepared to complete the campus check-in process and follow identification, visitor-pass, and parking requirements.

Bring Photo Identification

Bring a valid government-issued photo ID to present during check-in.

Check In at Administration

Report to the campus administration or information desk when you arrive.

Display Your Visitor Pass

Approved visitors will receive a temporary pass that must remain visible while on campus.

Check In & ID Badges

Visitor Check-In

Anyone visiting an OCPS campus must report to the information desk in the campus administrative area and sign in upon arrival.

Visitors must present a valid government-issued photo ID. As part of the district-wide visitor management process, visitor information is checked against a national sex-offender registry. Visitors who are approved to enter will receive a temporary pass that must remain clearly visible while they are on campus.

Students may not bring visitors or pets to campus.

ID Badge Requirements

Students and employees must follow these identification requirements while on campus:

  • Badges must be clearly displayed on the front of the shirt or blouse, at or above the waist.
  • Lost, stolen, or damaged badges must be replaced at the badge owner’s expense.
  • Instructors will visually check student badges and may not allow a student to enter class without a properly displayed badge.
  • Students without a badge must purchase a replacement or leave campus. High school students will be referred to the Administrative Dean.

Campus administrators conduct regular building checks to support compliance with identification requirements. Anyone attending orientation or conducting business on campus must display an appropriate permanent or temporary badge.

Campus Parking

Student Parking

Students who park on campus must purchase and properly display a campus parking decal on their vehicle. Temporary parking decals may be available for students enrolled in courses lasting fewer than 30 class hours.

Designated accessible parking spaces may be used only by vehicles displaying a valid disabled parking permit issued by the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. Additional parking procedures are provided during campus orientation.

Visitor Parking

Designated visitor parking spaces are available at each OTC campus. Visitors should park only in marked visitor spaces unless directed otherwise by campus staff. Other campus parking areas require a valid parking decal.

Vehicles using designated accessible parking spaces must display a valid Florida disabled parking permit. After parking, visitors must report to the administration building to complete the check-in process and receive a visitor ID badge.

The Ronald Blocker Educational Leadership Center has a designated visitor parking area for non-OCPS employees conducting official OCPS business. A parking attendant will direct visitors to the appropriate location.

Lost & Found

Report lost or found property to the campus Administrative Dean or administration office as soon as possible. Campus staff will make reasonable efforts to return found items to their owners, but OTC cannot replace lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

Avoid bringing unnecessary valuables to campus. Personal belongings should remain secured and, when stored in a vehicle, kept in the trunk or otherwise out of view. Students and visitors are responsible for safeguarding their own property.
