Full-Day Event: Transitioning to a New School Year 

• Saturday, July 23, 2024 at 10:00 A.M.
• Join us for a FREE day of learning and fun at Parent Academy. You will leave with all of the information and resources for supporting the needs of your child. 
  
  There will be sessions from district departments and community partners as well as an exhibit hall with community partners just waiting to share valuable resources.
  
  Worried you won't be able to concentrate with kids in toe? Need childcare? We've got you covered! The Youth Academy is FREE and features activities and games for children Pre-K through 8th grade.

Lunch and Learn Live Online: Understanding Parent Consent Forms on Skyward Family Access

Virtual Mini-Academy: Skyward Family Access

• Did you know you have the ability to access and monitor your student’s data?  Come see how Skyward Family Access allows you to view your student’s schedule, grades, attendance, complete district online forms, along with many other Skyward modules.

• Parents gain tips and tricks for how to use Skyward Family Access to monitor progress. 

Overview

The OCPS Parent Academy is committed to making a sustainable impact on student success, parenting and advocacy and personal growth/wellness. Our goal is to empower, engage and educate families and caregivers by providing high-quality training sessions, resources and access to skills and services.

The OCPS Parent Academy offers district-wide, face-to-face Parent Academies,  Learn Where You Live events which take place in each learning community, and virtual Lunch & Learn events on Facebook Live.  

In addition to the OCPS Parent Academy events, there are monthly trainings held by the Curriculum and Digital Learning, Discipline, Exceptional Student Education, Multilingual Services, Professional Learning and Student Services departments for families.
